Welcome to the Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiovascular Surgery

We are the premiere organization representing the interests of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgical Physician Assistants

If you are a CVPA, you are invited to join your colleagues as an Active Member. Student Membership is also available to interested PA students.

If you're already an Active member of the Association, we invite you to document your competency and proficiency in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery by applying for Fellow Membership.

The APACVS is pleased to announce a new member benefit.  Through an educational collaboration and with the generous support of the Thoracic Surgery Directors Association (TSDA) our members have been granted access to the TSDA Education Universe.   This is the online curriculum that all Residents and Fellows in accredited CT surgical training programs utilize. Check out the members only section for access information.

In addition all of our members will now receive the Weekly Curricula emails.  You can expect to receive TSDA Weekly Curricula e-mail messages each Thursday for the upcoming week, with the exception of holiday weekends. The weekly emails are a supplement to the  curriculum.  TSDA hopes the Weekly Curricula expands your current knowledge base and enhances your learning experience.

APACVS is pleased to announce the launch of our Career Center!  This on-line job board will allow CVPA's to post their resume and to search current CV Surgery employment opportunities.  Post your profiles/resume today and help support the career center.

The new APACVS Database is now available for members to log their patient encounters and procedures.  All previously entered data has been transferred to the new system, and you can now search by procedure type, date, or hospital.   Individual case logs can be exported to an Excel file for printing or backup.  Use your members-only log in credentials to access the database.  The old user names  (john_smith) are now obsolete.  Contact admin@apacvs.org if you need your user name and password.
